This day two years ago I released my very first game and i’m quite happy to that two years on it still manages to rake a good amount of downloads and sales.
Which Is why I have decided to release it on windows phone. I have learned a lot during the past two years and It will be noticeable in StormGate for windows phone. The new version was completely rebuilt from scratch, I wanted to build something that would be extremely expandable, so that it will be very easy to update in the future if becomes popular.
Windows Phone – The way it is meant to be played
StormGate on a mobile device just feels more natural, the games is seamless with touch and gesture controls. It allows you to jump quickly in the game and manage your town on the fly.
I have started work on porting StormGate over to android. Here is a little peak of the progress so far. The android version will allow me much more freedom over the Xbox version. So once it is finished I can easily update it regularly , without the hassle of waiting weeks for an update to go through review.
Survival Mode ( A randomly Generated map , in which you try to hold of enemies for as long as possible)
Town Building overhaul (I’m planning this to be a huge part of the gameplay)
New Town Buildings
Improved Interface (It will be a lot quicker to get things done , since it will be touch screen)
Well that is it finally finished .Now I just have to wait and see if the reviewers look kindly upon it . I really spent al lot of time just trying to polish the game so hopefully that will make it stand out a little bit more.
My main project the now is an xbox live indie game I am working on called “StormGate” , I did (sort of) keep a development diary of it so if you want to view it you can here. http://icer-st.blogspot.com/
